Ghost Trail

The young Syrian Hamid (Adam Bessa) is part of a secret organization trying to track down the guard from his prison camp. In Europe, he travels through refugee centers in search of the man who tortured so many people. His mission leads him to Strasbourg, where he encounters Harfaz (Tawfeek Barhom, Cairo Conspiracy). Can Hamid, clouded by feelings of revenge, be sure that this is the man he’s looking for? Ghost Trail is based on true events and skillfully combines the genres of espionage thriller and refugee drama in a thought-provoking way. The film had its world premiere as the opening film of the Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival and was selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).
