No Other Land follows Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist from Masafer Yatta in the West Bank, who has been fighting the mass expulsion of his community by Israeli authorities since he was a child. He documents the destruction of villages in his region, where Israeli soldiers gradually demolish homes and displace residents. At some point, he meets Yuval, an Israeli journalist, and an unlikely friendship develops between them. 

No Other Land is nominated for an Oscar!

Although Yuval supports Basel in his efforts, their bond is strained by the enormous inequality: Basel lives under military occupation, while Yuval lives freely and without restrictions. Made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective consisting of Basel Adra, Yuval Abraham, Hamdan Ballal & Rachel Szor, No Other Land functions as an act of creative resistance, seeking justice in the ongoing conflict. The documentary had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, where it won the Panorama Documentary Audience Award and the Berlinale Documentary Award. The film has since been shown at several international festivals and has received many awards.
