A forgotten singer, a depressed teenager, a lovelorn make-up artist, a crime show host… In the black comedy Paradis Paris by director Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis), people who seemingly have nothing to do with each other are all confronted with death in their own way. Former opera star Giovanna (Monica Bellucci) is mistakenly declared dead in the press, Marie-Cerise is kidnapped while trying to commit suicide and in his work, English stuntman Mike flirts with death on a daily basis. Through everyday encounters with universal figures such as a cleaning lady, a café owner and a detective, the lives of the Parisians are ultimately intertwined.
