Three members of an Afghan family start a new life as refugees in Iran. They are not yet aware that they will face a decades-long struggle to feel ‘at home’. Mohammad, Leila and Qasem try to rebuild their lives with high hopes, but are trapped in a state where the constant threat of police violence, bureaucracy and armed conflict dominates everything.
