Quisling – The Final Days

Erik Poppe
RELEASE Thu 1 May

A true-to-life psychological portrait of the last months in the life of Quisling, Prime Minister of Norway during WWII, an open admirer of Hitler, and collaborator with the German occupiers.

Quisling formed a government in April 1940 and collaborated with the German occupiers. He was responsible for the uncritical stance of the Norwegian government toward the Nazis and their actions. When the war ended after five years, it was time for reconstruction, and Quisling was held accountable for his collaborative actions and ideological beliefs. The film is also based on the diary of Peder Olson, a pastor who supported Quisling during his last months in prison.
