Have you always wanted to understand how films really work? How directors use visuals and sound to evoke emotions and bring stories to life? In this in-depth course, we delve deeper into the power of cinema and help you develop a sharper eye for film analysis.

This course consists of four evenings (April 15, April 22, May 13, May 20). You purchase one ticket for the entire course. Each session runs from 20:00 to 22:15, with a short break at 21:00.

This course will be given in Dutch.

What to Expect?

  • A recap of the first course, making it easy for new participants to join.
  • In-depth analysis of film fragments: how do narrative, cinematography, editing, and sound work together?
  • An interactive approach: analyzing scenes together and applying film language in practice.
  • Even if you haven't attended part 1, you can easily join – basic knowledge or an affinity for film is sufficient.

Under the guidance of Twan, you'll dive into the layers of film and learn to recognize and interpret the techniques behind masterpieces. Whether you're a seasoned film enthusiast or just starting with analysis, this course will open your eyes to the hidden language of cinema.
