The feel-good film En fanfare is both heartwarming and heartbreaking, and a major box office success in France and Belgium. The film shows how music connects people, and how unlikely family ties can lead to genuine friendships.

Thibaut (Benjamin Lavernhe) is a successful conductor, and Jimmy (Pierre Lottin) plays in the local brass band. They are brothers, yet unaware of each other’s existence—until Thibaut searches for a bone marrow donor. And finds one. Due to adoption, their lives have taken completely different paths, but their love for music brings them closer together. When Thibaut discovers Jimmy’s musical talent, it turns out that the brothers have more in common than they had thought.
