On Friday 21 March, the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we will be showing the impressive film Nickel Boys together with film theatres and cinemas throughout The Netherlands. This special screening is a joint initiative at the request of the National Coordinator against Discrimination and Racism, Rabin S. Baldewsingh.

Nickel Boys, directed and co-written by RaMell Ross, brings to life the poignant story of two young African-American men. At a reformatory school in Florida, where inhumane conditions and injustice prevail, they find support in their deep friendship and unwavering strength. The film is based on the award-winning novel The Boys of Nickel by Colson Whitehead and has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture.
