Red de Jungle

We meet city girl Kéria, her nephew Selaï and baby orangutan Oshi. Together they try to protect the tropical rainforest. Kéria lives with her father on the edge of the rainforest when her nephew Selaï comes from the jungle to live with them for a while. When Kéria finds a baby orangutan, they want to take care of it together so that they can release the monkey back into the jungle later. But the jungle is threatened by large logging companies. Together, Kéria, Selaï and Oshi will overcome obstacles to fight against the planned logging. In the process, Kéria learns more about the rainforest and her own origins.

Save the Jungle is from the makers of My Name Is Courgette and made in the same unique stop-motion style. Director Claude Barras shows once again that he can bring important themes to the attention in a clever way.
