GAME CHANGERS
Every third Monday of the month, it's GAME CHANGERS at Natlab. On these evenings, an iconic film classic is screened. Prior to the screening, film lecturer Twan Arts presents a masterclass explaining what makes the chosen film a true game changer.

PARIS, TEXAS
Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Sam Shepard and accompanied by a now iconic score by Ry Cooder, Paris, Texas follows mysterious loner Travis as he tries to reconnect with his young son, who lives with his brother in Los Angeles, and his missing woman. From this seemingly simple setup, Wenders and Shepard create a gripping look at unwritten codes of masculinity and the myth of the American family, as well as an exquisite visual exploration of a vast, crumbling world of canyons and neon (shot through the idiosyncratic lens of the Dutch master cinematographer Robby Müller). Paris, Texas is widely praised as one of the most beautiful classics of contemporary cinema.
