In general, Tarantino felt that he made films that divided jury members, but he still managed to win the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival with his film Pulp Fiction. The film is known for its ingenious structure, iconic scenes and unforgettable dialogues full of passion and energy. Filled with drug use, violence and swearing, this became one of the most influential films of the '90s. On this evening, film teacher Twan Arts will take you through the brilliant choices Tarantino made for this film so that you can fully enjoy the film afterwards.

The masterclass is in English.

GAME CHANGERS
Every third Monday of the month it is GAME CHANGERS in Natlab. An iconic film classic will be shown on this evening. Before the screening, film teacher Twan Arts will give a masterclass explaining what makes the chosen film a genuine game changer. Usually the GAME CHANGERS masterclasses are Dutch spoken, but during this GAME CHANGERS ENGLISH EDITION the masterclass is in English.

PULP FICTION

Pulp Fiction melds three dime-store stories set in lowlife LA into one cohesive thriller. Butch is an over-the-hill boxer paid to take a fall, who instead does a runner with mobster Merselius’ money. Meanwhile, Vincent Vega and Jules Winfield are two hitmen who aren’t having the easiest of mornings, and Pumpkin and Honey Bunny are two would-be bank robbers who are planning a heist in a restaurant.
