The movie we're kicking off the upcoming Game Changers season with is one to die for: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly! This masterpiece by Sergio Leone is a classic that changed the western genre forever. With an iconic role by Clint Eastwood and the legendary soundtrack by Ennio Morricone, this film takes you to the rugged landscape of the Wild West. Or should we say 'the rugged landscape of Spain'? Because we are talking about a western shot in Europe, also derogatorily called 'spaghetti western' by the Americans.

GAME CHANGERS
Every third Monday of the month it is GAME CHANGERS in Natlab. An iconic film classic will be shown on this evening. Before the screening, film teacher Twan Arts will give a masterclass explaining what makes the chosen film a genuine game changer.

What is a spaghetti western? What sets this apart from the classic American western? And what makes The Good, the Bad and the Ugly one of the best westerns of all time, spaghetti or not? These questions and many more are discussed in the masterclass preceding the film.

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY
The story, set during the American Civil War, revolves around three men (the good: Eastwood, the bad: Van Cleef and the ugly: Wallach) who are each looking for a gold treasure. Sublime western classic, shot in Spain, with a great script, a score by Ennio Morricone that you can't get out of your head and phenomenal camera work by Tonino Delli Colli.
