Un Silence is the new film by Belgian filmmaker Joachim Lafosse (Les intranquilles). When the silence is broken in the family of Astrid (Emmanuelle Devos) and her husband François (Daniel Auteuil), the most disturbing secrets threaten to come to light. Together with her son Raphael and her husband François (Auteuil), a controversial lawyer, Astrid (Devos) lives a privileged life. On their large walled estate they can maintain the peace, despite the fame that François enjoys after he was involved in one of the biggest legal cases of recent years. After 25 years of silence, Astrid sees the family balance implode when her children go in search of justice. The film had its world premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival where it was part of the Official Competition. Joachim Lafosse won the Best Director Award at the Rome Film Festival with Un Silence.
