Halina Reijn returns with an erotic thriller about successful CEO Romy (Nicole Kidman), who risks her career and family when she starts an affair with a young intern (Harris Dickinson). The film was written and directed by Halina Reijn for the leading American production company A24. Nicole Kidman won Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival.

Romy (Nicole Kidman) is successful in business, has a loving husband (Antonio Banderas) and is a good mother. Her carefully structured existence is thrown out of balance when she meets the brutal intern Samuel (Harris Dickinson). As she slowly relinquishes power, Romy discovers more and more about herself and her own intimate desires. But how much control is she willing to give up?

Halina Reijn wanted to make a film about self-love and how you can love all layers of yourself, “including the dark sides.” Babygirl had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
