Director Sean Baker won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival with his film Anora. A comedy drama about the Russian billionaire's son Ivan and the New York stripper Anora. A dream comes true for Anora when Ivan asks her to marry him. The honeymoon is quickly over when Anora finds out that Ivan's family wants to annul the marriage.

Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.
