Lydia is still traumatized by Beetlejuice and her life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter Astrid discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and accidentally opens the portal to the afterlife. Both worlds are in turmoil and it can't be long before someone says "Beetlejuice" three times and the tormentor returns to cause quite a stir in his own unique way. Burton, who has essentially created his own genre, directs from a screenplay by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar ("Wednesday").
